Brie Cheese with Guava & Pistachios
This quick and tasty snack combines the delicate sweet flavors or guava jam with crackers, cheese and pistachios to create a tantalizing combination of flavors.
Adding contrasting textures can liven things up further. Adding pistachios to a creamy cheese together with a spot of guava preserves not only creates a fascinating contradiction of sweet and salty, it's also a great example of how crunchy accents fit into creamy backdrops.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(175 degrees C)
Lightly grease a cookie sheet
Spread Guava Fruit Preserve on top of the brie cheese
Place the brie cheese on the cookie sheet
Bake for 10 minutes to melt the cheese and to let the preserve soak into the cheese.
Remove from oven and cut the cheese into slices.
Place the slices on top of the salty crackers.
Decorate with crushed pistachios to your liking.
Serve with bread as well, enjoy!
